40th Practical Nursing Graduation

The Northern Tier Career Center Practical Nursing Program held its 40th annual commencement at Towanda High School auditorium on Thursday, August 17, 2023 with 18 graduates entering the nursing profession. 

The individuals who graduated were:

Sitting Row Left to Right:  Samantha Irene, Emmalou Brown, Alexis Filan, Stevi Griffith, Abigale Miller and  Samarah Smith

Kneeling Row Left to Right:  Katryna McCutcheon, Natali McCarthy, Summer Allen, Grace Kirichu,  Anna Farr and Justice Johnson

Standing Row Left to Right:  Kendell Stone, Victoria May, Allison Vanderpool, Jocelyn Murray, Skye Royer  and Carly Waltman

The welcome was presented by the coordinator of the program, Margaret Johnson, who praised the class for its accomplishments. 

The Invocation was given by Emmalou Brown.

Graduation Speech was given by Alexis Filan. 

The presentation of awards was made by faculty members Miriam Martin, Beth Hickey and Sandy Congdon.

The Outstanding Attendance Award was presented to Victoria May.

The Valedictorian Award was given to Kendell Stone.

The Salutatorian Award was given to Stevi Griffith.

The Leadership Award was presented to Victoria May.

Class Award was presented to Kendell Stone.

The Lorene F. Berry Award was presented to Kendell Stone and Stevi Griffith.

The Odd Fellows award was presented to each student for their dedication in completing the nursing program.

Presentation of the Diplomas was made by faculty member Brenda Benninger and Margaret Johnson.  Presentation of Class was made by Margaret Johnson, Practical Nursing Coordinator.  Presentation of graduation pins was performed by faculty member Sandra Congdon.
