The Robert Packer Hospital-Towanda Campus Auxiliary has established an annual nursing scholarship that is awarded to a nursing student enrolled in the Northern Tier Career Center’s Practical Nursing Program in Towanda.
This year, Marguerite Shaner from the Auxiliary is pleased to award Joselyn Murray, Natali McCarthy and Summer Allen a $1500.00 scholarship each.
Applicants for the scholarship must be a resident of Bradford or Sullivan County and must have completed one semester of the nursing program. Applicants must have a grade point average of 85 percent or higher and be paying cash or receiving loans for their nursing education in order to qualify. Additionally, applicants submit an essay on the reason for selecting practical nursing as their career choice.
